We've made some exciting improvements!

Improved in-play betting. Fewer failed bets.

With order book V1, your bet had to match the specific offer at the time you placed it. If that offer was canceled or odds changed before confirming, your bet would fail.

Now with order book V2, your bet is matched with any available offer within your slippage tolerance. That means fewer failed bets, smoother execution, and automatic upgrades if odds improve.

Example:

You want to bet $1,000 on Lois Boisson ML at -110. You set your slippage to 2%. By the time the bet is confirmed, the best available price is -111 — still within 2%.

✅ Bet gets matched and confirmed.

If odds improve to +105?

✅ You get the better price automatically.

Setting Your Max Slippage

By default, slippage is set to 1%. This default value can be adjusted from the settings tab.

If you wish to set maximum slippage for a specific bet without adjusting the default, select the gear icon on your bet slip and choose a desired max slippage from the dropdown menu.

Set it to 0% if you only want to accept your exact odds or better.

Getting the Best Odds Just Got Easier

We've added an Odds Boost feature comparing the odds on SX to a sharp sportsbook making it even easier for you to get the best odds.

Odds Ladder Updates

We’ve halved the odds tick size from 0.25% → 0.125%. That means more precise quotes and tighter spreads.

It also means you can also place limit orders to three decimals.

Example: There are multiple offers at 1.78 but we want to try to get a slight edge. You can now place a limit order at 1.785.

Maximize your profits by placing limit orders.

FAQ

What is slippage?

It’s the % range you’re willing to accept if odds move slightly before your bet confirms.

What happens if I set slippage to 0%?

Your bet will only be matched at the exact odds you selected, or better — never worse.

What about the in-play delay?

SX uses a 3 to 8 second delay (depending on the sports and league) on in-play bets to protect market fairness and avoid front-running. With V2, your bet is now matched after the delay, giving you a better chance of getting filled — even if odds move slightly.

How do I change my slippage settings?

Default: in your account settings. Per bet: click the gear icon on the bet slip.

Where can I find technical info?

Check out the Order book V2 API documentation for full integration details.
